I enjoy sad books, I find then intriguing actually. I have added these to my LibraryThing now, recommended by Booking Through Thursday members.
The Book Thief, The Last Bridge, Tomato Girl and Cliffs of Despair.
I have been away for work and just to busy to blog and keep up with BTT and friends blogs. I am currently reading The Glass Castle, a beautifully written memoir of a girl telling us about her dysfunctional family and the journey. So sad but she is amazingly strong.
I love to read on my Kindle. I am a fan of Thrillers, Suspense and Mystery. My simple pleasure are Verse Novels and Poetry. Always on the side is a cup of Earl Grey Tea. I am a HR Specialist, Pilates/Yoga instructor and a mother of a 13 year old. I post Reviews on Amazon, LibraryThing, Goodreads, Facebook and here on my blog. I live in Bermuda.

Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog! I totally agree with you - I enjoy sad books too. But that doesn't necessarily mean they are depressing. I like to call them poignant. I love poignant books = they bring out emotions in me and that is the pleasure I get from reading. You will truly love the Pupek's writing in Tomato Girl. I picked up a copy of The Glass Castle earlier this year but haven't read it yet. I'm looking forward to it. I also look forward to visiting you blog again. Have a great week!
