BTT question - The northern hemisphere, at least, is socked in by winter right now… So, on a cold, wintry day, when you want nothing more than to curl up with a good book on the couch … what kind of reading do you want to do?

I am in Bermuda and it is FREEZING to me, lol, it is 61 degrees today so we are not snowed over or anywhere close to what many of you are experiencing but for us this is a cold and breezy day.
I am very much a mood reader, I can change my mind from 1 - 5 different books when considering what is next. It doesn't matter to me about the weather, so Winter reads, Beach books etc doesn't do it for me, it is what my mind needs.
I love a good suspense story but my interest changes all the time, good variety I think I have. It could be romance, thriller, memoir, YA but suspense/mystery is my favourite.
So when I am curling up with a good book and have the heater on a large cup of Earl Grey Tea and sometimes hot chocolate will always be there for the reading experience.
So how about you?

ReplyDeleteI am not a mood reader but right now I am not reading at all!
ReplyDeleteLOL!

sorry! I posted the BTT question here! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHaha 61 would be lovely weather here right now! My BTT is at The Crowded Leaf.
ReplyDeleteWow 61? That would be nice. I love hot chocolate but the caffeine gives me a headache.
ReplyDeleteHere's my BTT Answer
I too am mood dependent when I choose a novel. My BTT: http://www.rundpinne.com/2010/02/booking-through-thursday-genre.html
ReplyDeleteoh yes, It depends on my mood a lot too !
ReplyDeleteHere's mine : http://icejewel.blogspot.com/2010/02/booking-through-thursday-1-winter.html
Bermuda, freezing? You make me sick! (kidding)
ReplyDeleteI'm just jealous I'm in Canada. :-)

Books and Earl Grey! AND 61 DEGREES?? I wanna come over! :-)
ReplyDelete61? I would be opening my windows and airing out my house with that.
ReplyDeleteHere's Mine
I wish I was in Bermuda with that 61 degree weather - it's freezing here!
ReplyDelete61 degrees here in U.K. would be good at the moment.
ReplyDeleteMy only requirement is that the book is plot-driven.
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy a few mood books, hmmm... what goes with 67 degrees and partly cloudy in Arizona?
ReplyDeleteTruthfully, on dark and stormy days I love something to fall into and form a relationship with. I seem more patient to let a book unfold on days like that. Throw on the blanket and grab a hot drink and I'm in for the long haul. Today it was more like spring and I grabbed a Sonic Drive-in Soda and the newest Dan Brown, The Lost Symbol. Something more fast paced. Maybe you hit it right, I'm all over the place - it's just what I'm into at the moment.
I have to read books with a strong plot when I'm curled up like that- or else I fall asleep immediately!
ReplyDeleteI don't really base what I read on weather or mood. I just have a list of books (or more realistically) a closet full of books and grab whatever is next. Unless there is something new out for a series I'm a fan of, that always skips to the front of my list!
ReplyDeleteAnd I would take 61 here in Minnesota. But in a few short weeks I'll be a Florida resident and I'll be toasty warm
Oh, 61 degrees! That would be heaven at this point! We usually head to Florida in February to visit the in-laws and take a break from the cold, but that isn't happening this year.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm mostly a mood reader too.
