It's Monday - what are you reading?

Book Date now hosts It's Monday What Are Your Reading?  The meme that we use to share what we read this past week and what our plans are for the upcoming week.  It's a great way to see what others are reading and add to your own To Be Read List.

Currently Reading and loving......

This one comes out in July.  It is on NetGalley and the first 6 chapters free on Amazon.

Book Summary

Meet Hanna.
She’s the sweet-but-silent angel in the adoring eyes of her Daddy. He’s the only person who understands her, and all Hanna wants is to live happily ever after with him. But Mommy stands in her way, and she’ll try any trick she can think of to get rid of her. Ideally for good.
Meet Suzette.
She loves her daughter, really, but after years of expulsions and strained home schooling, her precarious health and sanity are weakening day by day. As Hanna’s tricks become increasingly sophisticated, and Suzette's husband remains blind to the failing family dynamics, Suzette starts to fear that there’s something seriously wrong, and that maybe home isn’t the best place for their baby girl after all.
From blazing new talent Zoje Stage, Baby Teeth is a story about a perfect-looking family, and a darling little girl who wants nothing more than to kill her mother.

Review Coming, another great read

My last review, loved it.  5 star

This may be my next read but it comes out March 20, I will probably get another read in before that.

I am having a great start to the year for reading, two 5 stars, last year I had none.  I am unable to read as many books as I used to but if I continue on with the quality of choices, I am grateful.

Thanks for visiting Tea Time with Marce

  1. That Baby Teeth book sounds really creepy! Kind of 'bad seed' child. I do want to read Every Note Played, but it will likely be later in the year. Glad your year is starting off well in the reading department. Also, glad to see a post from you. They are always welcome. :-)

  4. Ooo... Baby Teeth sounds like it could be quite a dark & twisty read - I'll be intrigued to hear your thoughts on that one. Also, I'm so excited for the new Lisa Genova; I hope you enjoy.

Happy to hear that you're having some great bookish successes this year so far, with two 5 star reads already.

Happy reading & a lovely week to you!

  6. Hi Thanks for stopping by! I watched The Green Mile, too and I usually don't read a book after watching the movie (I usually do the other way around) but I didn't know at first that it was a book and I'm reading it for a challenge. I know the book won't let me down (usually books are better that the movies :P) See you next week!

  9. I initially resisted the lure of Baby Teeth, but I just couldn't do it when the publisher contacted me directly. Now I'm excited for it a bit too much given the synopsis!
