What are you Reading, Monday - after Reading Slump

It's Monday, What are You Reading.  Sheila over at One Persons Journey has an incentive for networking so go over and have fun while adding to your Wishlist.

I had a really hard time last week friends, I just couldn't get past the 1st page or chapter, I tried 4 different books and finally tonight, one gripped me from the 1st page and I can't wait for the thrill.  Reading slumps are so depressing.

I'm currently reading....

Black Jack (Deck of Cardz) by Jean Holloway.  I read her debut Ace of Hearts earlier this year, a favourite of the year so far actually so decided to continue the series.
Last week.....

I started a Vent/Discussion about Still Missing by Chevy Stevens.  Please only read if you have read it, the discussion is full of spoilers.

I finished The Godmother by Carrie Adams, I gave it 4 stars.

I have no idea what will be next after how hard it was to get into a book this week.

Thanks for visiting Tea Time with Marce, have a wonderful week.

  2. How was your birthday?! I hope you had a fantastic time!!

I hate it when it's a bad reading week -- those are always so very frustrating. That slump can be pretty tough sometimes to get out of and find a good book!

Here's my Monday: Coffee and a Book Chick -- Mailbox Monday...

  3. Hey Marce! I will still read the book club pick even though Paula isn't able to host it. I already bought it for my Nook. Do you have a Nook? If you want I can try to figure out the LendMe feature and loan it to you rather than you having to buy it. Let me know!

  9. I hate when I can't get into a book...or several books! I, thankfully, haven't really had that problem for a little while. It's depressing when it does come up!

  10. The Godmother is one that sounds intriguing to me.

Hope your slump picks up. I just noticed your post yesterday...Happy Belated Birthday. I'm an October chick, too! I was almost born on Halloween (25th).

Pumpkin was my nickname as a kid.

I don't think they were just talking about the season, though. I had chubby cheeks! LOL

Hope your reading picks up, and thanks for visiting my blog.

I'm still reading Hummingbird's, finished listening to Deliverence Dane this morning (it was okay/good).

  13. Forgot to mention that I have read The Godmother. Did you like it? If I remember right I think it bugged me a bit. That's not always bad... I like it when a book brings emotions.

  14. I'm glad your reading slump is over. I can't explain it; but it happens. The important thing is that we know it's temporary. Black Jack sounds like a good read. Enjoy.
