Book Date now hosts It's Monday What Are Your Reading? The meme that we use to share what we read this past week and what our plans are for the upcoming week. It's a great way to see what others are reading and add to your own To Be Read List.
Personal
Well, I went out with my book club on Monday night, great but left work early on Tuesday not feeling well. I thought I had picked up the stomach bug but nope food poisoning, eek. That was 500% worst then the stomach bug and today was my first day feeling better. Being sick though allowed lots of reading. I finished 2 books, whooooah
I'm currently reading - I have read all of Mary Kubica's books, all solid reads so far.
Summer Book Club Choices
Just finished this one, review will be up this week. Have you read it?
I have never heard of this one, have you?
I enjoyed this one, very glad it wasn't romance, in my opinion anyways. My Review
What do I think will be next? A favourite author and favourite series I believe.
Have an amazing week.
Oh no, food poisoning. Not good at all. So are you going to see the movie of Me Before You? I am not sure if I will go. Guess I will!
ReplyDeleteI will watch it, I doubt I will go movies for it though but definitely when it comes on Netflix.
DeleteI hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI've not read anything by Mary Kubica but I've heard her books are good. Will have to add them to my wishlist.
I consider her to be a formula writer, solid reads but not ones you want to discuss with everyone.
DeleteI'm definitely on the mend, thanks Melody
I really really want to read Don't You Cry!
ReplyDeleteIt is good so far. It will be interesting which one of her books I like the best.
DeleteOh no, I'm glad to hear you're feeling better! I adored Brooklyn, but haven't seen the movie.
ReplyDeleteOh that ending of Brooklyn just killed it for me, I don't even want to review, ugggh.
DeleteThe Murder That Never Was looks very intriguing. I hope you enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteMy It's Monday! What Are You Reading? post.
This series is amazing, one of my favourites. Forensics Instincts, start at the beginning if interested.

ReplyDeleteI can see you enjoying Brooklyn, I have to say I hated the ending.
DeleteOh no, food poisoning! Glad you're starting to feel better. I have no experience with the books you mention, though I did start the Andrea Kane series.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the series Nicola, this is the latest one.
DeleteEuphoria and Me Before You were two of my favorite reads . Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Euphoria so I'm glad to hear this.
DeleteOMG, food poisoning is the worst! My daughter and I both got it after eating at a restaurant one would never suspect.
ReplyDeleteIt took two days to feel better.
Enjoy your books...Euphoria looks good. I enjoyed Don't You Cry and Brooklyn.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
One would never suspect this restaurant either. The Dr said some restaurants don't transition fast enough from winter to what can stay out to the warmer months, sigh.
DeleteSo sorry about the food poisoning. You're right, it's so much worse than a stomach bug. I want to read Brooklyn. I loved the movie.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better. I had food poisoning last month and it was horrible. It was from Churches Chicken. Not eating there for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI really want to read Don't You Cry. It looks good. Hope you enjoy it. Have a great week.
I've got Me Before You waiting for me at the library, I want to read it before I see the movie, so I can compare and contrast. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Brooklyn yet, but I do own it and I want to read it before I watch the movie...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you got sick! Glad you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to here you were so sick! Yikes! Hope you are feeling better. I have not read a Mary Kubica book yet, I really need to move her books up on my reading list. Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better. I'm curious about Me Before You and Brooklyn. I haven't read either yet but hope to at some point as I've heard good things about both of them.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading to you.
What an awesome list of books! "Me Before You" is amazing (and so is the movie -- we saw it last week) and I really enjoyed "Euphoria" too. I haven't read "Brooklyn" yet but I watched the movie on a flight and really enjoyed it. I have yet to read anything by Mary Kubica but I keep meaning to.
ReplyDeleteI totally know what you mean about food poisoning. I had it for the first time ever about a year ago and you are so right -- it was definitely 500% worse than the stomach flu! Ugh.
I like the Brooklyn cover as well. Hope you feel better really soon.
ReplyDeletesorry about the food poisoning, I hope you have fully recovered now. I liked Don't You Cry. My second Kubica Pretty Baby which I also enjoyed. I hope that you will like it too.
ReplyDeleteSo many good books, and I haven't read any of these. Glad you are liking them and looking forward to your thoughts. It seems like your book club is not a mystery one, and you are branching out into general fiction.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Brooklyn but my SIL did and enjoyed it. I was actually born in Brooklyn and lived there until age 12. Of course many years after this story took place, lol.
Meant to add I hope you bounced back from the food poisoning. My elder daughter had that a few years ago and felt horrible, so I can imagine. Best wishes your way.
DeleteI am sorry about the food poisoning. I am glad you are feeling better! Don't You Cry is on my to read list. I haven't read Brooklyn, but I've heard it is good. I am not sure if I will read it. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week!
