Blog Hop - Spooky Reads

Thanks for visiting Tea Time with Marce

When you are in the mood and have time for networking, a fun way would be to participate in the Blog Hop over at Jennifer's blog Crazy for Books.

Are you a book blogger? Are you a reader? Then welcome to the place where all of us connect over the weekend and chat about books!

This week's question:

“What is your favorite spooky book (i.e. mystery/suspense, thriller, ghost story, etc.)?”

These are my favourite genres, I am excited to see the answers and add to my Wishlist.

I immediately think of these 2........

Relic by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child

and

Currently Reading

The Restorer by Amanda Stevens

  1. I haven't read either of those books. I'm afraid my book won't go on your wish list - it's and oldie but a goodie!

  7. I loved The Restorer! Just the right kind of spookiness, with ghosts, cemeteries, and a mystery.

  11. The Restorer was quite spooky. I ended up naming my second blog through a word I saw there "winged effigy." The statues were a bit like the creepy angels in Dr. Who.

  16. I haven't heard of either of those, but the covers both look creepy! Since I was little, if a book cover creeps me out too much I can't even have it in the same room as me at night!

  18. I love the cover of The Restorer! I haven't read many books in these genres since I'm a complete coward, but I'm determined to (eventually) be ok with reading these types of books.

  20. I'm way too exited to find another Mystery/Thriller/Suspense lover. *waves*
Both of your books look real creepy.

I missed out the word "spooky" in the question. I realized it yesterday and had to change my answer. You can hop back to check it out (that is, if you're not very busy).

    Have a great weekend ahead!

  21. Hi hi, returning the visit :)

I think you're right, horror books are not as good as movies, but it's worth the try... if done right, a book can be a lot scarier than a movie, so with a little bit of luck, I will find one that gives me permanent goosebumps!

love your blog badge! it's so creepy and adorable at the same time!

    cheers

  23. I have to be part of this chat. I love to talk about books, however is very difficult to find people with the same passion, most of people find books boring and more boring.
