Monday - What are you reading?

Sheila over at Book Journey has an incentive for networking so go over and have fun while adding to your 2014 Wishlist.

Did you have good weather for Good Friday?  Any traditions?  In Bermuda, we are celebrate and have the day off, it was gorgeous weather and we went to the beach, it was a lovely day.

I am still reading Defending Jacob, it has improved

I reviewed and loved - J. T. Ellison is a go to author now - my review

I have no idea what to read next, unsure what genre, do I stay in my Mystery zone or go eclectic, decisions decisions.......

Have a great week

  1. I have heard good things about Defending Jacob and may get around to reading it eventually.

I had a pretty quiet Easter weekend though Good Friday was a little eventful. I was driving to visit my parents but an hour into my journey my car had problems so I ended up not being able to go. Thankfully one of my friends will be able to fix it and it won't be too expensive! The weather here is finally warming up but I'm sure not as lovely as going to the beach!

    1. Car having problems on a holiday weekend is no fun, glad your friend was able to help. Defending Jacob is getting better.

  2. I read Defending Jacob for one of my book clubs and it generated an interesting discussion. The action really picks up towards the end of the book.

Curious to know which book you'll pick up next.

In the meantime, here's my post: http://www.bookclublibrarian.com/2014/04/weekly-book-recap-63.html

  8. My book club read this a couple years back. Quite a discussion ensued from it! It does have a slow start and then gets better. Right now I'm reading Alone by Lisa Gardner. Book 1 in the DD Warren series. I really like it! I'm pretty versatile in my reading, but lately romance has been leaving me flat. I just can't find that book that stops my heart yet. I think I'm setting myself up for disappointment.

In the states nothing closes for Good Friday, but you can choose to stay home for religious reasons. Just the private Christian schools do. We had gorgeous weather the whole weekend. Honestly, so cali had no winter this year and we are in serious drought conditions right now :( Unlike my family on the east coast who had the winter from hell! Have you moved into the new home yet?

  10. I was just sitting here thinking I need to write my Defending Jacob post. I liked it but I think it suffered because of all the hype.

  13. We had lovely weather for the holiday weekend. By Tuesday we are supposed to drop by 20 degrees! I hope to get back to more suspense/thrillers, been reading easier reads with all the recent stress.
