It's Monday - lots of reading for me/sick

Book Date now hosts It's Monday What Are Your Reading?  The meme that we use to share what we read this past week and what our plans are for the upcoming week.  It's a great way to see what others are reading and add to your own To Be Read List.

Personal

Well, I went out with my book club on Monday night, great but left work early on Tuesday not feeling well.  I thought I had picked up the stomach bug but nope food poisoning, eek.  That was 500% worst then the stomach bug and today was my first day feeling better.   Being sick though allowed lots of reading.  I finished 2 books, whooooah

I'm currently reading - I have read all of Mary Kubica's books, all solid reads so far.

Summer Book Club Choices

Just finished this one, review will be up this week.  Have you read it?

I have never heard of this one, have you?

I enjoyed this one, very glad it wasn't romance, in my opinion anyways.  My Review

What do I think will be next?  A favourite author and favourite series I believe.

Have an amazing week.

  1. Oh no, food poisoning. Not good at all. So are you going to see the movie of Me Before You? I am not sure if I will go. Guess I will!

    1. I consider her to be a formula writer, solid reads but not ones you want to discuss with everyone.

I'm definitely on the mend, thanks Melody

    1. One would never suspect this restaurant either. The Dr said some restaurants don't transition fast enough from winter to what can stay out to the warmer months, sigh.

  18. What an awesome list of books! "Me Before You" is amazing (and so is the movie -- we saw it last week) and I really enjoyed "Euphoria" too. I haven't read "Brooklyn" yet but I watched the movie on a flight and really enjoyed it. I have yet to read anything by Mary Kubica but I keep meaning to.

I totally know what you mean about food poisoning. I had it for the first time ever about a year ago and you are so right -- it was definitely 500% worse than the stomach flu! Ugh.

  21. So many good books, and I haven't read any of these. Glad you are liking them and looking forward to your thoughts. It seems like your book club is not a mystery one, and you are branching out into general fiction.

I haven't read Brooklyn but my SIL did and enjoyed it. I was actually born in Brooklyn and lived there until age 12. Of course many years after this story took place, lol.

    1. Meant to add I hope you bounced back from the food poisoning. My elder daughter had that a few years ago and felt horrible, so I can imagine. Best wishes your way.
