Announcement - The Queen of Suspense Challenge - Join In (Sept - Aug 2011)

Welcome to Tea Time with Marce

Mary Higgins Clark, The Queen of Suspense, is my favourite author and has been for over 10 years. This is a personal challenge for me, I want to rate all of her books so I can say which one is my favourite.  I only have 13 Hardcovers on my bookshelf and my goal is to have all of them in Hardcover.  I have her new one, The Shadow of your Smile and will start it on Sept 1st to begin the challenge.  Please Join In.

Challenge Dates:  September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2011

Details:

* If you participate in this challenge please signup below and do a post in order to get word out so we can have more bloggers join in and to network with.  Please link back to this post with your direct link to your intro challenge post, not just your blog link.

* You do not have to list the chosen books ahead of time and your choices can crossover into other challenges you have joined.

*  You can join anytime before next year Aug, this challenge is to make a fan out of you and to share thoughts and discussions about the Queen of Suspense from those who are already a fan.

* All forms of books will count - eBooks, Audiobooks, etc

* Rereads do count towards this challenge, as that is the main idea for me.  Also, the collaboration with her daughter Carol Higgins Clark will count.

2 Books -  New to Mary Higgins Clark
3 Books -  Reacquainting myself with Mary Higgins Clark

  1. Hey Marce! Well, Ms. Mary really isn't one of my faves, but I have a surprising amount of her books on my TBR shelf. I would be more than happy to give her a chance and sign up for this challenge!

I do have at least one of her books already reviewed on my blog. Head on over and check it out if you would like!

  11. Oh gosh! I loved Mary Higgins Clark some five years ago - I've read practically everything by her (barring her last book - waiting for the paperback version).

Enjoy the challenge - I won't be joining in, as I have read everything by her, but I would love to read everyone's thoughts.

  14. This challenge sounds cool. I have to admit I haven't read any of her books in awhile although i do have quite a few of them. I think I need to balance out my reading with her books and all my YA books I now have. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  16. Is she in any way a relation of Jack Higgins? I've read a couple of his books and have enjoyed them. Am really looking forward to giving Clark a try!

Also,....I was under the impression that Agatha Christie was the Queen of Suspense...no?

  17. I can see why you would ask Risa, but even with googling Who is Queen of Suspense Mary Higgins Clark comes up but of course Agatha Christie is the classic.

  18. How fun! I was insanely in love with MHC all through jr. high and high school. I've read everything except her two newest books. I find that I like her older stuff better than the newer though.

I have too many other challenges I'm participating in right now, so I don't know that I'll participate (although I'm a sucker for challenges, so I might) but my favorites are Pretend You Don't See Her (the first I read), Loves Music, Loves to Dance, All Around the Town, Moonlight Becomes You, and Where are the Children. :)

I'm sure I could go on, but those are probably my top 5.
