Happy Monday - What are you reading?

Book Date now hosts I'ts Monday What Are Your Reading?  The meme that we use to share what we read this past week and what our plans are for the upcoming week.  It's a great way to see what others are reading and add to your own Te Be Read List.

Happy Monday

I'm currently reading a book club read

For the first time no one in book club completed it, eek.  I was the only one that said I didn't love it but was trying, I was finally at 60% and starting to enjoy the characters.  I will finish it.

If you haven't read Rebecca, the classic Daphne duMaurier is famous for, it is a must read.  I'm slowly getting through all her books, this was my 3rd.

Are you in a book club?  I did a post on should I stay or should I go - have a read and give your opinion please.

I am trying to decide what is next, maybe one of these.........

    1. A few people have said Nightingale is on their Top Ten list for 2015 so I'm trying to get it in. Jamaica Inn will be my next DuMaurier also.

  2. Hi Marce - I am in 2 book clubs and there have been some books that I so did not want to finish, but then there were others that I would not have picked up on my own and ended up loving. It's a dilemma, isn't it?

I have Nightingale on my TBR list and really NEED to get it read. I have heard so many good things about it. Happy reading!

  3. Your book club needs to choose a book with more action!

  4. I have A Man Called Ove...patiently waiting on Pippa...and I loved The Nightingale.

I now want to read The Scapegoat, as there was a time in my life, many years ago, when I was addicted to the author. I have copies of Rebecca and Jamaica Inn sitting on my shelves, waiting to be reread.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  5. I absolutely loved a Man Called Ove but I can see that it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea. It's a slow mover ;) I've heard nothing but good things about Nightingale, hope you enjoy it!

    Have a good week!

    1. More and more I am starting to think Nightingale may be my 1st read of the year and hope it starts it out right from a reading perspective. I'm thinking about a Christmas read now.

  10. My aunt recommended A Man Called Ove to me. We don't always have the same taste so I'm not sure what to think. Your whole book club didn't finish it? Oh my.

    Enjoy your week!

  11. Honestly, I wasn't crazy about Rebecca. There were things I really liked about it, but other things I *really* didn't. And then I read Don't Look Now. Wow. A great anthology. So, the rest of her books are in my long-term TBR stack. ;)

    Have a good reading week!

  12. VERY nice week for you.

I am finding so many Du Maurier books that I didn't know she wrote. :) ENJOY!!

I only knew of Rebecca until I found Jamaica Inn then I have been finding others. It was good, but Rebecca is my favorite.

I hope your week has been good.
