ReplyDeleteThere are at least 5 books on there that I have been eyeballing pretty hard at the stores. I will definitely be picking them up thanks to your list!
ReplyDeleteAwesome list, Marce! The Glass Castle is one of my favorites as well.
ReplyDeleteI actually have some of those books either in my TBR pile or my wishlist. Great list!
ReplyDeleteYours is the second list with Gods Behaving Badly - must add that to my 2010 list. On your list I've read The Widow's Season, Firefly Lane and Testimony - all good books. Looks like you had a good year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year : )
I LOVED Gods Behaving Badly! Such a fantastically funny book!
ReplyDeleteGreat list :)
Happy New Year!
Read quite a few of the books on your fav list and enjoyed them as well. Happy 2010 reading.
ReplyDeleteFirefly Lane and Gods behaving badly are on my TBR list. I loved the Glass Castle. It gave me the idea for my book in a very round about way :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year
I read some of them and still have a few in my TBR.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Great list. I'll have to check out some of those books.
ReplyDeleteI loved looking at everyone's list of favorites. Still Alice and The Glass Castle were great books IMO. Hope that you have a Happy and Healthy New Year. May all they books that your read in 2010 be terrific.
ReplyDeleteI've heard wondeful things about The Weight of Silence and Glass Castle. I might have to add them to my list now! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fine list. Lots of interesting titles and authors there. Hope 2010 is another great reading year for you.
ReplyDeleteGreat list ... I'm planning to read "Still Alice" in 2010 so I'm glad to see it on your list. And I loved "Gods Behaving Badly" too. And I'm glad book blogging is pushing you out of your comfort zone ... it did that for me too! "The Glass Castle" was amazing, wasn't it? If you liked that, you might also like "The Liar's Club" by Mary Karr.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
wow...there are so many variation in your list :)
ReplyDeleteHave not read any of those books but I really wanna read the Gods books, it has been on my list for a while.
ReplyDeletegreat year for you :D
Yes, book blogging does make your wish list out of hand, doesn't it? But I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll be reading The Glass Castle and Testimony for sure this year and I'm hoping to fit in The Widow's Season. Great list.
ReplyDeleteHi - I saw your comment on Bellas Novella and am trying to re-ignite my blog. I've linked to your list, hope that's okay!
ReplyDeleteGood picks! I loved the Glass Castle too, although it made me squirm it was such an uncomfortable read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! I love the Glass Castle too (read it in 2008 I think) and as you already know I love Still Alice. I also enjoyed Testimony but it just didn't make my favorites since I had others I liked better.
ReplyDeleteStill Alice is on my TBR - looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I really liked The Widow's Season and Gods Behaving Badly, too.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!

Diary of an Eccentric
A friend of mine also loved Gods Behaving Badly. It's already on my TBR list but hopefully I can read it soon, or sometime in 2010 at least :)
ReplyDeleteYes, book blogs can drastically increase your TBR pile. But you know what else does? Goodreads.com You wanted a way to keep track of what you were reading, I think Goodreads is a great way to do this online. Warning you though, it can be addictive especially if you join groups and read what books everyone is reading :)
Great list. I have to say that I haven't read any of them (I know it's unbelievable), but I've stuck with mostly YA books this year. I have picked up The Weight of Silence so, so many times at the bookstore, but I have yet to buy it. The fact that you enjoyed it enough for it to be in your list of favs for the year, makes me want to read it more.
ReplyDeleteThese look like some great books. I haven't read any of these but a couple of them are on my shelves! Here is to a great year of reading!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you categorized your favorites!
