2011 Stats for Tea Time with Marce

I am loving the lists I have seen so far, I think I will put my 2011 Top 10 up on Saturday.

My 2011 Stats for Tea Time with Marce

My Goal was to read 50 books for the year, I am currently reading my 60th

Last year I had 234 posts, this will be my 206

I joined 8 Challenges and completed all, yaaaay me, I think only 3 books crossed over

I only had 2 DNF.  There were a few I started but wasn't in the mood so will come back later, those do not count but was approximately 7.

I read 18 male authors and 33 female authors and 1 couple collaboration

I read the following genres:  Thriller, Suspense and Mystery (all my favourite) Adult Fiction, Memoir, Non Fiction, YA, Classic and Paranormal Fantasy

I won 4 books from contests and I'm International, pretty good

I had 3 Author interviews

Honourable Mention - I held my first week event, Thrill Week which will be an annual event.

How I received what I read:

42 On Kindle, can you tell this is my preference of reading, love my Kindle
5 ARC 3 and 2 Book Tours
8 Review Requests - not including ARC's
8 My own buys
3 Bookclub/Discussion

Are there any stats you enjoy reading about or keeping for yourself?

  1. Just got a Kindle Fire for Christmas and I gotta say that I love the Kindle as well!! I didn't think I would. I bet most of my books will come from e-reading next year! Great stats.

This is Lah @ LazyGirl Read btw...I changed my blog up!

  3. You did great this year! I still have to get my stuff all updated. Maybe this weekend. I like to keep track of how many books I read in a year and how many are eBooks. Past that I'm not too much for stats.

  5. I kept a spreadsheet about year published, number of pages, whether it's a new genre, a new author... then the past couple of months I got lazy and didn't keep tracking it. I think next year I'd just keep it easy and just track the titles so it doesn't feel so much like work. Good on you for exceeding your goals!

  9. Wow... 60 books! That's pretty impressive. Wish I could get through 60 in a year; maybe then my TBR pile wouldn't grow so quickly!

  10. Not bad Marce. I kinda lost track of my reading around August, which really isn't good since my memory has become so bad. So I started putting what I read for the month down again just so that I know at least for myself. I was finding that when I'd do my end of the month wrap up I couldn't quite remember all I went through!

I think I read about 45 books this year.

How is Freed going so far? Hope its better than Darker.

    Have a Happy New Year!

    Paula

  11. I love reading posts with stats. I'm into numbers and I've been keeping a few of those numbers handy, but I didn't put any of them up yet. I love how you have put up 200+ blog posts this year!
