What is your chosen book to start the new year with?

or

Favourites of 2012 - my post is here

December is always the month I decide what book will I be starting the new year with.  I never start a new book within 3 days because I want a frest start :-)

I am a Thriller, Suspense fan so I must start with that genre. I am starting with a highly recommended book and author from favourite bloggers, I am sure I will love it.

I will have to rent the movie adaptation after also, I am sure I watched it but don't remember any details.

  1. Interesting choice - and one I have on my reading list. I'm not sure what I'm starting the year with - just going to let it flow and see what I pick up on that day.

  3. Glad to see that Rebecca made it to your top 10. It's a great book!

I've never seen The Bone Collector. I never knew that it was based on a book. I learned something new today.

    Thanks for hosting again!

  4. Thanks for hosting!
I am looking forward to rereading through the Bible this year.
Aside from that, I haven't had a chance to pick my first read from my huge TBR pile!

    Happy new year to you!

  8. i hope you like this one. And I do hope you watch the movie again after you read it because the character Queen Latifah plays in the movie is ALL WRONG! You will see why after you read the book - it just irritates me everytime I think about it!

  9. These are great questions. I have not heard of the Bone Collector but I just looked it up and it seems very interesting. The Fault in Our Stars is on my TBR list for next year (it was on this year too but time slipped away). I have often been asked if I have read Rebecca (no) I really should read it.

I hope you enjoy The Bone Collector.

  10. I am not certain. I have a list of books I want/need to read in January. I guess it depends on my mood when I finish my current book...

  11. Cool! I'm a Deaver fan, but haven't read that one yet. Have you read his book The Bodies Left Behind? I LOVED it!

  12. I haven't picked out which book I want to start 2013 off with yet. I have a LOT of books that I want to read in 2013 but I'm not sure which one I will read first :) Maybe I should focus on finishing up my current read so I can actually decide. I hope you enjoy this one...it is an author that I've been wanting to try!

  13. Love this! I read The Bone Collector years ago and liked it, but for thrillers my go to authors are Lisa Gardner and Tess Gerritsen. I also discovered Karin Slaughter in 2012, so I'm looking forward to reading more of her books in the new year!
